Discovery Sport

2016 Land Rover Discovery Sport Introduced as a late 2015 model, this new compact sport utility replaces the LR2 and has the same powertrain as the Evoque: a 2.0 turbocharged 4-cylinder with a nine-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel-drive. What this model gets that the LR2 lacked is an optional third-row of seats. Although only fit for small children or marmosets, it does bring the maximum passenger occupancy to seven. For 2016 InControl Protect and Remote are standard and add emergency services calling, remote start, remote lock and unlock, and stolen vehicle recovery assistance.

Finally, the SVAutobiography gets a more potent 550 horsepower 5.0 Supercharged V8. A Gesture Tailgate feature is added to the standard power tailgate; the driver waves his foot under the rear fender and the tailgate opens or closes. Standard InControl Remote adds the ability to lock, unlock start and condition the interior of the Range Rover from your smartphone. InControl Protect will automatically call 911 in the event of an airbag deployment and can be used to locate a stolen vehicle. Memory driver's seat is no longer standard on base model. A heads-up display is now available, projecting road speed and navigation directions on the windshield.
