Ascent

2020 Subaru Ascent

The Ascent gets new Lane Centering and Lane Keep Assist, standard on all models.

Steering responsive LED headlights with automatic high beams are now standard on all models, not just Limited and Touring. This gains the 2021 Subaru Ascent the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety "2020 Top Safety Pick Plus" award. (Don't think about the model years too hard.)

All the rear seats now have seat belt reminders with weight sensors.

BRZ

The light, rear-wheel drive, boxer-engined sports car from Subaru skips a year, and comes back for 2022 with a more powerful, but still naturally aspirated flat-4.

A new Sport trim level fits between Premium and Limited models. The interior features yellow stiching throughout. Outside, wheels, grille, mirrors and badging get a grey finish.

The larger engine from the Forester is now avaiable, standard on the Sport and Limited. The bigger, 2.5-liter boxer (horizontally oppossed) engine makes 182 horsepower, 30 more than the Crosstrek's standard 2.0-liter.

Lane Centering is added to the standard EyeSight Driver Assist package all automatic transmission Crosstreks get. This system is in addition to the already standard Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control and Lane Keep Assist.

The outside of all Crosstreks is refreshed with a new front bumper, grille and fog light covers. Each trim is made more distinct.

The Crosstrek Hybrid, a plug-in hybrid model, sees similar changes to the exterior and also tweaks to the suspension. For 2021 the Crosstrek Hybrid will be a special order vehicle, only.

SI-DRIVE, basically a "Sport" button," is now also standard on Impreza Premium, in addition to Sport with the CVT and Limited.

Forester

Adaptive headlights that move with the steering, automatic high beams and a rear seatbelt reminder are now standard on all models. Keyless Access with Push-Button Start and PIN-Code Access are now standard on Forester Premium.

Legacy

2021 Subaru Legacy

A rear seat reminder system has been added as standard equipment: it registers if a rear door has been opened before or during a trip and then reminds the driver to check the rear seat when the engfine is turned off.

Front and rear seatbelt reminders are also now standard, alerting the driver if a passenger (by weight) present in any seat is not buckled.

Steering responsive headlights (adaptive lighting) are now standard on all models.
