The long-awaited Blackwing version is here. With a 472-horsepower (8 more than its predecessor) 3.6 twin turbo V6, power goes through a standard (pun intended) 6-speed manual or an optional 10-speed automatic. The automatic is quicker, of course. 15-inch front and 13.4 inch rear vented discs are in charge of braking. Line Lock is standard, a feature first offered on Mustang GT, it locks the front brakes down to allow a safe burnout to heat the rear tires before a drag race.

The CT4-V Blackwing differs from the standard CT4-V in 3 key ways: V6 twin turbo, standard manual transmission, and rear-wheel drive, only. The Blackwing also gets more standard equipment: cornering lights, heated steering wheel, heated front seats and navigation. Blackwing gets an exclusive power tilting and telescoping steering wheel. Surround Vision is not available on the Blackwing. Remote start is cancelled on CT-4 Blackwing with the manual transmission. The CT4-V Blackwing is not equipped with Automatic Start/Stop.

Front and Rear Park Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert (Blind Spot Monitoring), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Rear Park Assist, and IntelliBeam (automatic high beams) are all now standard on all CT4-V.

Adaptive Cruise Control, and Reverse Automatic Braking are now standard, but not available with manual transmission.

Super Cruise, a semi-autonomous system, is now offered on base CT4-V.

CT5

Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert (Blind Spot Monitoring), Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Keep Assist, and IntelliBeam (automatic high beams) are all now standard. Adaptive Cruise Control, Enhanced Automatic Braking, Front and Rear Park Assist, and Reverse Automatic Braking are now standard on Premium Luxury and Sport.

Super Cruise is offered here, too, available on Premium Luxury and Sport.

Advanced Security Package with its locking fuel door is no longer offered; it's now exclusive to the CT5-V Blackwing.

Same 2 horsepower are deducted from the base 2.0 turbo as on the CT4.

The Blackwing arrives with a 6.2 supercharged V8 pumping out 668 horsepower, the most in a Cadillac ever. The pushrod engine shared with Chevrolet connects to a 6-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic, and automatic start/stop is eliminated. Massive 15.7-inch front and 14.7 rear brakes are in charge of stopping, with drilled carbon ceramic versions available. Grip is provided by 275/35ZR19 front and 305/30ZR19 rear summer performance tires (a shortened rear axle keeps the rubber under the fenders.). Line-lock will make burn-out craving Mustang owners feel right at home. The modifications increase body length by a smidge over an inch.

Blackwing gets additional standard equipment, including navigation, HD Surround Vision, Surround Vision Recorder, 12-inch reconfigurable digital gauge cluster, heads-up display, massaging, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel,

Power tilt/telescoping steering column, Adaptive Cruise Control, Following Distance Indicator, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Front and Rear Park Assist, Reverse Automatic Braking and IntelliBeam headlights are now standard. Adaptive Cruise, Reverse Automatic Braking and Remote Start are deleted and Automatic Parking Assist isn't offered on Blackwing with the manual transmission.

Super Cruise, GM's advanced, semi-autonomous driving system, is now optional on V6 CT5-V, not on Blackwing.

The Advanced Security Package with locking fuel filler door is no longer optional on V6 CT5-V, but is standard on Blackwing.

Escalade

A new standard air filter for the passenger cabin removes finer particles.

A new, selectable feature in the Teen Driver settings is "Buckle to Drive." Similar to systems implemented under federal law in 1974 then repealed, it will not allow vehicle to be shifted into gear unless the driver is belted. Can be turned off in the settings menu and it times out after 20 seconds.

Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist are now standard on all models.

Due to chip shortages, the standard 6.2 V8 will not have an automatic start/stop system. The optional 3.0 diesel will continue to have start/stop with a disabling switch.

XT4

Sport models get new Brembo brakes at the front.
